Cookies & Local Storage

The short version. We set no cookies on this website or in the game. There is no analytics script, no advertising pixel, no social-media button and no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to. The game keeps your kingdom and your sign-in session in your browser's or the app's local storage, which is strictly necessary for it to work. The only outside services contacted when you play or visit are our hosting providers and the app store you installed from. Details below.

1. This website (golf-kingdom.com)

The site is static pages served by Vercel. It sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. It contains one script, written by us, that fills in the App Store link and, when you arrive from a shared course link (/?course=…), tries to open the course in the installed app. That script does not store anything and sends nothing anywhere.

2. The game (the app and play.golf-kingdom.com)

The game does not use cookies either. It uses the browser or app local storage for the data that makes it a game. Everything in the table is created on your device and read only by the game on that device; none of it is sent to us except where the row says so.

The browser's ordinary HTTP cache also keeps the game's code, art and audio files so it loads faster next time. That cache is managed by your browser or the operating system, not by us.

3. Outside services contacted

Supabase (our backend, servers in the United States). The game talks to it to sign you in anonymously, sync your save, publish courses, post scores and record crash reports. Your IP address reaches Supabase with every request, as with any server. Nothing from Supabase is stored in a cookie.
Vercel (hosting for this site and the browser version of the game). Vercel keeps standard server logs, which include IP address, browser type and the page requested, for a limited period under its own privacy policy. We do not add Vercel Analytics or any other tracking product.
Fonts are not an outside service: the typefaces Nunito and Fredoka ship inside the app and with this site, so no request is made to Google or anyone else for type.
Apple / Google Play. Purchases and app updates go through the store you installed from, under its own terms. The store never shares your payment details with us.

That is the complete list. There are no advertising networks, attribution SDKs, analytics services, A/B testing tools, session-recording tools, social plug-ins or embedded videos anywhere in Golf Kingdom or on this site.

4. Notifications

The app can schedule local notifications (a build finishing, a new daily or weekly event). They are created and shown by your phone; no notification server and no device token is involved, and nothing is sent to us. Your phone asks for permission the first time, and you can switch them off at any time under ⚙️ Settings → Notifications or in your phone's settings.

5. Why there is no cookie banner

Cookie-consent rules (the EU ePrivacy Directive, the UK PECR and similar laws) require consent for storage that is not strictly necessary to provide the service you asked for. Everything Golf Kingdom stores on your device exists only to run the game you launched: your progress, your session and your settings. Nothing is used for advertising, measurement or tracking. Storage of that kind is exempt from consent, so there is no banner to click through. If we ever add a tool that needs consent, this page and the app will ask you first.

6. Clearing it

In the app: ⚙️ Settings → 🗑️ Reset save data removes every key above and deletes your online account. It is permanent.
In a browser: clearing site data for play.golf-kingdom.com removes the local copy. If you linked an email, your cloud save survives and comes back when you sign in again; if you did not, the kingdom is gone.
